YIP - Young Investigators Program

In an effort to provide more opportunities for younger physicians and physician scientists, the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) has created a Young Investigator Program (YIP) for eligible individuals to attend the SOHO 2026 Annual Meeting to be held September 9-12, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

The primary purpose of the YIP program is to encourage and promote quality research in the field of hematologic oncology. In addition, the program supports training and career development for young investigators. Attending a major scientific meeting that focuses on hematologic malignancies is particularly important for young researchers since it allows them to interact with leading investigators, practitioners and other innovators in the field.
To be eligible you must submit an abstract by the submission deadline on May 15, 2026 (23:59 CST). Space is limited so only those with an accepted abstract will be awarded a YIP scholarship. You may view the abstract submission guidelines at soho.click/abstract-info.
Those interested in a YIP scholarship must apply before May 15, 2026. Contact us at [email protected] for questions regarding the YIP program or abstract process.
Note that the number of YIP scholarships is limited to a maximum of three per institution. In addition, the total number of scholarships is limited by the availability of funds.

Qualifications and Scholarship Provisions

Those that are awarded a YIP scholarship will receive the following for travel and meeting related expenses:
1. Economy Class airfare (arranged by SOHO)
2. Complimentary meeting registration;
3. Hotel accommodations;
