George R Brown Convention Center

Due to the growing size of the annual meeting, SOHO has expanded to a larger venue, the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) in Houston, Texas. The GRB is conveniently located in downtown Houston near Discovery Green, world-class restaurants, the Theater District and the Toyota Center. In addition,  SOHO has contracted room blocks with three hotels. If you are in need of hotel accommodations for September 5–9th, select the Embassy Suites. The Hilton-Americas and the Marriott Marquis are currently sold out. The direct booking site for provides special rates for SOHO 2023 attendees.

This modern, high-rise, all-suite hotel is a 3-minute walk from Discovery Green park and a 7 min walk from the GRB Convention Center. Free made-to-order breakfast is offered daily, as well as a reception with light appetizers and drinks, and an area shuttle on weekends.
