Donate to the SOHO Young Investigator Fund

To provide more opportunities for younger physicians and scientists, SOHO has created a Young Investigator Program (YIP) to assist eligible individuals to attend the SOHO Annual Meeting.  The YIP is just one of the ways in which SOHO supports training and career development in the field of hematologic oncology.

The YIP provides funding to promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research and treatment.  Attending a major scientific meeting that focuses on hematologic malignancies is particularly important for young researchers since it allows them to interact with leading investigators, practitioners and other innovators.

The Young Investigator Award is a one-time travel grant totaling $2,500 to pay for travel, room and board to attend the SOHO Annual Meeting.  The number of YIP awards is not predetermined by SOHO.  Awards are given based on individual merit and availability of funds.

SOHO strives to fund approximately 200 young investigators each year.  SOHO highly encourages applications from young investigators in all areas of hematologic oncology (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes and cellular therapy).  Postdoctoral researchers, young clinical researchers and graduate students may apply for YIP awards.  Awardees are granted funds for air travel, hotel accommodations, meeting registration, meals, ground transfers and parking expenses.

YIP recipients must be SOHO members and are required to submit a scientific abstract to the annual meeting.  Awardees are selected by the SOHO Organizing Committee.  Your contribution to this effort is greatly appreciated!
