AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

SOHO AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

In an effort to Increase geographical diversity and promote international understanding among hematologic oncology experts from different parts of the world, the Society of Hematologic Oncology created the SOHO Ambassador Program. Each member of the program acts as an ambassador for the Society in their respective countries, both by informing the society about important developments in hematologic oncology in their regions, and by helping to disseminate information about the Society and its activities to others in their country.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

SOHO EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The SOHO Education Committee is comprised of approximately 75 members who serve 2-4 year staggered terms. The primary responsibility of the committee is to develop the scientific/educational content of the annual meeting.

PUBLICATION COMMITTEE

SOHO PUBLICATION COMMITTEE

The SOHO Publication Committee is responsible for identifying opportunities for publishing work derived from the Society's activities. Members of the committee manage the publication of papers for the society's featured article series, "SOHO State of the Art and Next Questions." In addition, the committee manages the publication of papers from the annual meeting, supports the society's editors and oversees the official journal, Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma and Leukemia.

SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

SOHO SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

The primary responsibility of the SOHO Scientific Committee is to review abstracts submitted for the annual meeting. Members of the committee provide accept-or-reject decisions for each abstract in addition to selecting abstracts for oral presentation and poster presentation. Committee members evaluate the quality of submitted abstracts on the basis of the following criteria: novelty of the research, significance of the findings and clarity.

STEERING COMMITTEE

SOHO STEERING COMMITTEE

In addition to the Board of Directors, the SOHO Steering Committee is the guiding force in overseeing the society. The development of strong leadership is essential to the success of the society. Nominees for the Board of Directors must be active members of the Steering Committee for at least two years prior to an appointment or election. Only members of the Steering Committee may nominate candidates and vote in the elections.
